How to measure the oil quality

Measure before service in heated up oil

When measuring after service please let the oil rest for 15-20 minutes

1. Turn on the tester
2. Immerse and pay attention to min/max mark
3. Stir until tester starts to show a color on the display
(green = your oil is still good to use)
(orange = soon it will be time to change the oil)
(red = it's time to change the oil)
4. Gently wipe off the sensor

5. Write down measurement result in the HACCP sheet

FT 440 Calibration
Preparations:
Fill fresh oil into the fryer and know the TPM value of your fresh oil. Write down that TPM value to remember it later on!
Heat up the fryer to service temperature

1. Unlock the tester
2. Press right button: Quick oil settings
3. Set FRPC (Fresh oil polar components) (= TPM value of fresh oil)
4. Go back into measurement mode
5. Take one measurement to heat up the sensor, calibration will  be done faster afterwards
6. Wait until the light stops blinking
7. Press left button for user calibration
8. Hold the tester in the oil until display shows ''OK'', calibration happens automatically
10. Optionally do a test measurement after calibration to control

How to unlock the VITO FT 440 frying oil tester:

1. Press ON/OFF button

2. Press again when control display is shown and keep pressed

3. When ''FOM'' is displayed, press and hold right button additionally until ''INFO'' appears

4. Click left button until menu

5. Press middle button to confirm

6. Click right button to turn it ''ON''

7. Confirm with middle button

8. Click ON/OFF button

How to calibrate the VITO FT 440 frying oil tester:

1. First unlock the tester (seperate video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHUVLBHgVOM&t=0s)

2. Set FRPC = TPM value of your fresh oil

3. Adjust it with left & right button and confirm it with middle one

4. Go back to measurement mode

5. Take one measurement to heat up the sensor

6. Wait until the light stops blinking

7. Click left button and hold until CAL: User calibration

8. Take another measurement to complete the calibration

9. Wait until display shows OK (CAL disappears)

10. Leave the sensor in the oil to check measurement after calibration

How to adjust the TPM limits of the VITO FT 440 frying oil tester:

 1. Unlock the tester (separate video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHUVLBHgVOM&t=0s)

2. Click ON/OFF button

3. Press and hold right button until FRPC

4. Click middle button until LIM1

5. Set LIM1 with left and right button, confirm with middle button

6. Same for LIM2

How to adjust the start value of your fresh oil on VITO FT 440 frying oil tester:

1. Press ON/OFF button

2. Press another time and hold

3. When ''FOM'' is displayed, press and hold right button additionally until ''INFO'' appears

4. Press right until ''OFSET''

5. Set value to your prefernces

6. Press lower button to confirm

7. Go back to measurement mode

How to change the oil type on VITO FT 440 frying oil tester:

1. Press ON/OFF button

2. Press again and hold

3. When ''FOM'' is displayed, press and hold right button additionally until ''INFO'' appears

4. Click left button until ''Type''

5. Press middle button to confirm

6. Use left & right button to set your type of oil

7. Press middle button to confirm & go back to measurement mode

How to track the usage of the VITO FT 440 frying oil tester:

1. Press ON/OFF button

2. Press again and hold

3. When ''FOM'' is displayed, press and hold right button additionally until ''INFO'' appears

4. Click left button until CNT

5. Read out the number
